Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.” — Philippians 2:2
In past years, Lakeview has built meaningful experiences around themes that help groups grow in faith and character. Earlier themes focused on the joy of “Camp Life”, then more recently, “What Happens Here”, inviting groups to see how their time at camp can impact the world around them.
“What Happens Here Changes the World” reminds guests that the friendships they build, the lessons they learn, and the ways they live out their faith at camp don’t stay at Lakeview. They ripple outward, influencing families, schools, communities, and beyond.
This year, Lakeview introduces “One View,” inspired by Philippians 2:2, which calls believers to be “like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.” One View emphasizes shared vision and purpose. It invites guests and staff to align their hearts, thoughts, and actions, working together with one purpose and one spirit.
Across our new banners this year are seven guiding words: Heart, Mind, Soul, Team, Dream, World, Changed. Each word carries meaning for how we live, lead, and grow together at camp.
We ask that you take time to pray over these words throughout the year, reflecting on what they mean for you, for our community, and for every guest who comes through Lakeview’s gates.
Every activity, interaction, and program reflects the importance of being united, supporting one another, and creating lasting impact together.
